Grow Strong

Building gross and fine motor muscles

E.L.F will help you understand what each child needs to do to develop their big muscles and their hand and finger muscles in the early years.

Find out why these skills are vital for the development of emotional and cognitive growth.

Communication

Within the team, with stakeholders and children

ELF will discuss communication, the different ways of communicating and the value that effective two-way communication brings to staff and family relationships and wellbeing.

Staff will have the opportunity to discuss challenges and share ideas and strategies that have or haven’t worked in a supported environment.

Discussion will pivot around the provocation- ‘Clear is Kind’ (Brene Brown) with practical ideas, examples and language provided.

Connect and Belong

The need for social relationships

E.L.F will help you understand how important relationships are to promote social development, first with family and then with

friends as well as learning how important oral language is in building social competence.

Every person needs to feel a deep sense of  connection to lead a successful life.

"An excellent presentation. Now I have understood the importance of physical development on the other areas of development."

Think Big

The power of inquisitive play

E.L.F will help you understand why being explorers, discoverers and risk takers makes our children more resilient, creative  and talkative learners.

Let's understand and talk the value of play.

What is Behaviour?

understanding the unmet need

ELF will look at ‘behaviour as an unmet need’ and consider the range of events or reasons for ‘behaviours’, including diagnoses such as ADHD, ASD and GDD; and other reasons, such as sensory needs, changes at home, anxiety or hunger or illness.

Staff will have the opportunity to discuss the behaviours that they find challenging or persistent and we will consider possible reasons, strategies, and ways to communicate.
